Slice the peels of the fruit and place the peels in boiling water, letting them boil for a few hours on low heat. Cool and strain the liquid. Use the liquid for bathing your pet.
An old time-tested flea repellant is vinegar, making it a useful weapon when it comes to homemade flea killers. Make an effective flea repellant solution by mixing 2 cups of water with 1 cup of vinegar and 5 drops of liquid dish detergent. Use this mixture as a scrub for your pet. Fleas that have made a home on your pet will be killed instantly. This solution is also a wonderful all around shampoo for your pet's hair.
