For fundraising sample letters, it is important to keep your letter to just one page, with supporting information on not more than two pages. You can also include one photo if you want to, and if it's relevant. Don't make the letter sound as if you are begging; rather, be informative and help the donor to understand just what your aims and goals are.
There are fundraising sample letters for a direct mail campaign, letters requesting sponsors, those for donation requests, to name but a few, and they all need to be worded appropriately. The thing is to write a letter that reflects your own personality - these are the best. Write from the heart and tell your story. Be sincere, be yourself, and people WILL respond.
