Halloween Decoration Ideas for Your Home
Are you seeking inspiration for cool Halloween decoration ideas?
When you're decorating for Halloween, you want to be sure that it's fun, a little spooky, and yet isn't too hard to do.
There are all kinds of ways that you can decorate for this fun filled holiday, so a few Halloween decoration ideas and tips will help you to decorate like a pro and have a great time doing it.
You can do a lot with pumpkins and gourds
You might not realize it, but there is a lot of Halloween decorating you can do with pumpkins and gourds. It might take a bit of a creative hand, but they're really easy to use. From adding colorful gourds to a centerpiece, to carving them out to be ghouls and goblins, you can carve these natural decorations anyway you'd like.
You'll find that there are many different types of carving templates, too, so if you want to use the traditional goblins and jack 'o lanterns lining the porch steps, or you're seeking a more sophisticated edge, you can create just about any look you want.
Let the kids help you to design the pumpkins and don't forget to give the insides some time to dry a bit before you add a tea light to them.
Take it indoors
Don't forget to take your Halloween decoration ideas inside, too. When you hit the pumpkin patch, be sure to choose some colorful gourds and different pumpkins to use as accents and then let the real fun begin.
Buy some inexpensive candle holders and get some stencils, such as ghosts or lettering, and some crafting spray paint. Spray them a light creamy - pumpkin colored background (don't forget to tape the top and bottom rims so everything looks neat). Once this is dry, choose another color, such as black or dark brown, to spray paint the stencils on. You can use these all around your home and, when you cluster them together with some colorful gourds, you'll find they look lovely in your bathroom.

You can also use black boots to hold festive fall decorations. All you have to do is place a Styrofoam ball into the heel of the boot and add pieces from your favorite hobby shop, such as pieces of hay, twigs with orange and yellow berries, and whatever else you see that looks festive and "Halloweenie." When you're done, position them in a corner or sitting by the front door for maximum impact.
As part of your Halloween decorating ideas, don't forget the straw broom. You can buy these inexpensively enough at many craft stores, so if you have a foyer, consider hanging a witch's hat and cape and resting the broom in the corner. This Halloween decoration idea is simple and understated, but your guests will have to wonder.
The really wonderful thing about decorating for Halloween is that you don't have to spend a bundle to make some fun decorations. There is always the decorating you do right before the party, of course, with the spider webs and hanging skeletons, but there are also the decorations that you put out to sit for a while, and these Halloween decoration ideas can make your home - inside and outside - look more festive and fun inexpensively.
