Good Preschool Graduation Song Choices - for Marching In, Marching Out and Entertainment

Do you need some ideas for a good preschool graduation song?

If you're planning a preschool graduation, then you need to prepare songs for the children to sing for the entertainment part of the program, and songs or music for them to march to when they enter and leave the classroom or auditorium where the graduation is being held.

Preschool graduation ceremonies are so much fun. The children really don't know what all the fuss is about; but they stand on stage, trying to behave well and remember the songs they have to sing.

The best preschool graduation songs are the simplest ones which are easy for the children to learn and fun for them to sing. Songs such as "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "This Old Man" and "Five Little Monkeys", which all have lots of associated actions, are an excellent choice because they give the children something to do instead of just standing there looking out at the audience.

Naturally, some of the children will have stage fright and simply stand and do nothing at all. If you think you're going to have several children who may be too nervous to participate fully in the preschool graduation songs, then perhaps "Old Macdonald Had a Farm" or "B.I.N.G.O." could be added to the program. These are really simple songs and most of the children will probably have learned them at an early age and be comfortable with singing them.

If you would like the children to sing a song to close the preschool graduation, then consider having them perform a shortened version of "So Long, Farewell, auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye" from the movie "The Sound of Music". This preschool graduation song will give them the opportunity to wave and point to their families in the audience.

Songs you could play while the children march into the hall for the graduation ceremony could be prerecorded, downloaded onto a CD or be played on a piano, if available, by one of the staff members. You can also do the same thing when the children are leaving, or if you are presenting a slide show of them during their preschool year.

"Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion. The children may not know this one, but the parents will enjoy it.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. This one is a medley, and a different version than the original.
