Laminate Floor Cleaner Solutions - Simple Natural Homemade Recipes

Do you wish to make your own homemade laminate floor cleaner?

Keeping floors clean can be a daunting task - especially in high traffic areas or homes with children and pets. The costs of keeping your laminate floors sparkling can really add up over time; however, you don't have to break the bank to keep your floors clean.

In fact, most times, you don't have to look any further than your kitchen and bathroom cabinets to find items to make your own cleaning solutions. These laminate floor cleaners are easy to make, cost effective and often do not contain the harsh chemicals found in most store bought solutions.

For example, by using the following, you can make a great laminate floor cleaner at home. Take one cup white vinegar or rubbing alcohol and add it to four cups hot water. This particular cleaner can be used with a mop and bucket, or you can add it to a bottle to go with your Swiffer or similar cleaner.

Another great, inexpensive homemade laminate floor cleaner can be made by mixing 2 ounces dish detergent (the clear kind is best), 2 cups vinegar, one cup lemon juice and 2 cups hot water. Blend well and use as a refill for your ready to use mop. You can also use this solution in your mop bucket; however, you should increase the amount of hot water used to fill the bucket and dilute the solution somewhat.

Laminate floors can also be made dirt free by cleaning them with a solution that contains 2 tablespoons baby shampoo for each gallon hot water used. Add these items to your mop bucket and use to make your floors not only clean but also baby safe.

Yet another effective floor cleaner calls for mixing one tablespoon liquid soap and 1/4 cup baking soda to two gallons hot water. Add vinegar to the solution and use on your floors for a wonderful shine. The liquid soap will remove any grease and grime from the floor while the vinegar deodorizes and shines. Also, the combination of the baking soda and vinegar can loosen any stains on the floor.

If you want a good laminate floor cleaner that will also add a great fragrance to your home, you can try this laminate floor cleaning solution. Mix 5 to 25 drops of your favorite essential oil to a mixture of 1/3 cup white vinegar, 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol and 1/2 cup distilled water. Add 3 drops of liquid dish detergent to make the mixture a grease fighter. Place in a spray bottle and spray floor as you go. If you can, spray an area and let sit for about one minute before removing the solution for the best results.

Another great way to clean your floors without adding ingredients that can harm you, your children or pets, or other family members is to look no further than your local natural foods store. There are many herbs that can be used to create an effective laminate floor cleaner.

For example, you can boil lavender, eucalyptus or rosemary (or a combination of the herbs) for 30 minutes and strain to create a floor cleaning spray that is not only effective, but smells great too. And since all the ingredients are natural, you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals entering your home. When mixing herbs, you might want to test a small amount before making your solution to make sure the aroma will be pleasing and not unpleasant.

Keeping your laminate floors clean doesn't have to be a chore. With these simple home made laminate floor cleaners, you can keep your home disinfected, healthy and chemical free.
