Inexpensive Christmas Gifts to Make - Nice Homemade Christmas Presents

Are you seeking ideas for inexpensive Christmas gifts to make?

Each year, a number of people scramble around to find the perfect Christmas gift that won't break their budgets. For some, this becomes an exercise in stress and frustration - fighting the crowds and the weather, dealing with the noise and distractions, etc.

However, there are a number of Christmas crafts you can do at home to provide heartfelt, memorable gifts for your loved ones.

First, make out your Christmas list. It's not just Santa Claus that needs to make a list and check it twice. By making a list, you will ensure that no one is left out. Like Santa's list, jot down things that the individuals on your list like (and you may want to keep in mind the things they DON'T like as well).

Now, you are ready to start crafting your gifts. A homemade Christmas gift is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to your Christmas giving, while giving the recipients something created just for them.

So what are some specific inexpensive Christmas gifts to make?

For teens and jewelry lovers, you can make bracelets simply using bandanas, water and glue. You will need the following items: several bandanas in different colors and patterns, Elmer's white glue, water scissors, and glass jars (not much bigger in diameter than your wrist). Cut the bandanas in two equal sized pieces.

Take the pieces and fold them (with the cut side inside the first fold) until you have then folded into a 1 or 1/2 inch strip (you can make your folded bandanas as wide or slim as you wish). Mix 1/4 cup water with 1 cup glue in a small bowl. Take your folded bandana and coat it evenly and completely with the glue / water mixture - keep in mind that if you don't want to get glue all over your hands, you will want to wear gloves.

Place one end of the bandana against the jar and start wrapping the remaining lengths around the jar until you have wrapped the bandana around the jar. Set the jar aside for 24 hours. Once the glue dries, you can pop the bandana bracelet off the jar. The dried glue will help the bandana hold its shape and you have a unique craft item to give to the jewelry lover on your list.

What are some other inexpensive Christmas gifts to make?

Another of the inexpensive Christmas gifts to make is a Chocolate Comfort Basket, which you can create for the chocolate lover on your list.

Take a small basket (available at most dollar stores) and line it with tissue paper. Next, take chocolate candy melt and melt it according to the package instructions. Take plastic spoons and dip them in the chocolate until the bowl of the spoon is complete covered and place on wax paper to cool.

Once the chocolate has hardened, take red and green cling wrap and wrap the chocolate spoons individually. Tie the cling wrap to the spoon using colorful ribbon or yarn. Place these in the basket along with hot chocolate mix. When the recipient makes hot chocolate on a cold day, they can use their chocolate spoons to stir, giving their drink added flavor and smoothness.

These inexpensive Christmas gifts to make sound delicious, don't they?

The main thing to remember when crafting inexpensive Christmas gifts to make is asking yourself what the people on your list like and what you can do to show them how special they are to you. Hand crafted Christmas presents are a wonderful way to tell someone what they mean to you.
