Your eyes speak volumes about what your intentions, hopes, fears and feelings are. No wonder women around the world and across centuries have used eye contact to lure and seduce.
Almost all poetry that is written about love has some reference to the color and shape of a woman's eyes, and many more describe how they fell in love with someone just by looking into the depth of their soul through their eyes. This is probably because most women have an intense depth of feeling that can't be hidden unless they close their eyes.
Is it any wonder then, that when you look up from eating your dinner in a restaurant and your breath stops in your throat, just because your loved one is expressing the way he / she feels through his / her eyes? After all, it was probably his / her eyes - and the romantic eye contact - that brought you together in the first place.
At times, when you are both caught up in the mundane daily duties of everyday life, we forget what an important role eye contact plays in a relationship. A lingering look that lasts just a couple of seconds longer than is necessary can remind your loved one that you find him / her attractive and that the chemistry between you is still strong. Don't underestimate the power of romantic eye contact!
When you run your eyes slowly up and down a person's body, from his / her eyes to his / her feet and back up again, is what is more commonly known as undressing someone with your eyes. This look will get your loved one's imagination flowing about what your intentions actually are once you get behind closed doors.
Looking up at someone through fluttering eyelids and eyelashes is a sure sign that you are flirting. Doing this will tell your loved one that you are still really attracted and interested in him / her and want to explore all that he / she has to offer. This might seem a bit childish or a bit coy, but just like it worked in your teens, such romantic eye contact will work now - there is nothing wrong with using tried and tested behavior.
When your loved one's eyes take on a soft, puffy look, and the pupils dilate, then this is a sure sign that his / her attraction is deepened by an intense depth of feeling. Basically, he / she is telling you with his / her eyes that he / she loves you as well as desires you. This is usually the look, the romantic eye contact, which robs you of all the air in your lungs and makes your heart feel like it is pounding out of your chest.
Have you ever seen the eyes of someone who is in love? They sparkle and shine and look at their loved one with an intensity that is unmistakable. This look needs no interpretation - you just feel the emotions pouring out of their eyes, and it will probably melt your heart too.
Eye contact often speaks for you when there are not enough words to tell someone how you feel about him / her. Getting romantic looks from your loved one are special moments - enjoy and savor such romantic eye contact forever.
