Easy Thanksgiving Desserts to Delight Your Guests

Are you wondering what easy Thanksgiving desserts to prepare which will delight your family and friends?

No matter how much people tend to eat at Thanksgiving dinner, they always seem to have plenty of room for the most important part of the meal: Thanksgiving dessert.

That's right. If you are the person who cooks for all of your guests at this holiday season, then you know all about the importance of the dessert. Sure, your guests will likely sit back, undo a button or two on their pants, and wait for the first wave of all that food to pass before they dive into the Thanksgiving desserts, but rest assured that they will be looking for it in time.

You spent a great amount of time and effort putting together the best meal that you could, and whether or not they appreciated all that you did to make the holiday as wonderful as it could be, they are still going to be looking for dessert. With some of these easy Thanksgiving desserts, you won't have to worry about spending all of the rest of your day slaving in the kitchen to make them.

Ice cream

Ice cream is the one kind of easy Thanksgiving dessert that will not only go with just about everything, but it can also stand alone just fine. Serve traditional vanilla or chocolate and you will see your guests enjoying their dessert as though you baked one of the most delectable pies they had ever tasted. This is due to the fact that when people have just eaten an amazing meal, anything for dessert is going to be greatly appreciated.

Fruit salad

This is another easy Thanksgiving dessert, and you can either prepare a fruit salad yourself from scratch or purchase it from your local supermarket, already done for you. Either way, this will be a healthy alternative to other, more traditional desserts that your guests may be expecting. In this day and age of guilt eating, many of your guests will be glad that you serve a healthy dessert so that they can at least feel a little less guilty about all that stuffing and turkey and gravy that they devoured earlier.

Pumpkin pie

Perhaps no easy Thanksgiving dessert is as universal as pumpkin pie. One reason for this is due to harvest time for pumpkins, which usually falls during the month of October. It is from this time forward that pumpkin pie is often at its freshest and most delectable. You don't have to be a slave to your kitchen to serve pumpkin pie, as many orchards that sell pumpkins and apples during the fall season are now selling their own wonderful pies, including pumpkin and apple.

Don't settle for the store-bought frozen pumpkin pie if you can avoid it. You have put together one of the best meals of the year; you want to make sure that your guests go home feeling as though you really outdid yourself this year, and that means the desserts are as important as the meal itself.

This year, make your Thanksgiving desserts simple with any of these ideas for easy Thanksgiving desserts, or all of them!
