You should be able to find a suitably ghoulish punch bowl for the kids, such as a new (thoroughly washed) plastic bucket decorated with Halloween stickers or wrapping paper, or a large pumpkin "bowl" and ladle the punch into Halloween-themed paper cups.
For the adults, you can, of course, use your regular punch bowl and cups - unless you want to really gross them out, in which case, you can serve their punch as you would for the kids.
Bloody Halloween Punch for all the little vampires
This Halloween punch recipe is so easy that you can make it in no time, and the best thing about it is that it tastes great, too! It can also be converted to a punch for adults by the addition of alcohol.
Pour all the ingredients together into a large punch bowl and add the crushed ice. Stir well to mix the fruit juices together and chill the punch.
To make an adult version, simply add 2 to 4 cups of a berry-flavored vodka and 1/2 cup of any orange-flavored liqueur, depending on your taste - and tolerance for alcohol!
This spooky punch is very, very dark colored and looks really, really gross. It's an ideal Halloween punch recipe for kids!
Stir drink mixes together with the sugar and water until completely dissolved. Just before serving, mix in the ginger ale and add ice.
Buggy Halloween Punch
Need more ideas for Halloween punch recipes? This punch tastes great but looks really, really gross. It's an ideal Halloween punch for kids!
Mash the strawberries in a bowl. Add to lemonade and ginger ale in a large pitcher and stir well. Stir drink mixes together with sugar and water until completely dissolved. Just before serving, add ice.
Have some blueberries and raisins already in the bottom of each cup, then pour the juice mixture over them. The "bugs" will rise to the top of the cup, along with some "scum" from the liquid. Truly revolting!
This Halloween punch recipe is for adults only. This is a colorful punch made with red wine and sliced fruit.
Mix brandy, apple and orange slices together in a large jug. Let this sit for 15 minutes to allow the fruit to absorb some of the flavor from the brandy, then add the club soda, orange juice and wine.
Serve this Halloween punch recipe in tall glasses over ice.
More Scary Tips and Ideas
You can "frighten up" your Halloween punch bowl with ice cubes made with gummy bugs or raisins frozen inside them, and allow them to bob around on top.
For a really horrific treat, you can create a frozen dismembered "hand" made by simply filling a disposable glove (or two) with water, tying the end securely and placing in the freezer overnight. You could add coloring to the water for added impact.
When completely frozen, remove the glove and place the hand in your punch bowl and wait for the screams when it bobs into sight! You could also add these "treats" to an adult Halloween punch bowl and really freak out your friends and family.
Have fun with these Halloween punch recipes, and Happy Halloween!
