Valentine's Bulletin Boards - Great Ideas You Could Try

Do you need some ideas and inspiration for Valentine's bulletin boards?

When you have to come up with bulletin boards for your class or school, it can seem tiresome to do the same thing over and over again. That's why Valentine's Day is a great time to try something new and even get your whole school involved.

Here are some fun Valentine's bulletin board ideas to try:

"The heart of - (your school name)"

This is relatively simple and whether you're doing this bulletin board at the front of the school or you're just putting it out by the office, students, staff and parents alike will enjoy this simple style.

Cover your bulletin board with pink or white paper. Make a large heart out of red paper. You will partially attach this to the board and then stuff the rest of it, then attach the rest once it's stuffed. Surround it with sparkling contrasting boarders if you like.

Make the wording out of letters that have been pre-cut and decorated using glitter, or you can buy them. If you're incorporating the whole school, each teacher should get small hearts for each student to write their names on. If you're doing it just for the staff, then hand the hearts out to them. Hearts should be white, red or pink.

Once the small hearts are turned in, simply attach them to the board and allow them to carry over onto the wall if you don't have enough space. Give students and staff the opportunity to decorate the hearts if they like, but make sure their name is on it somewhere.

"Love is in the air"

If you have a small class of little ones, this might just be the Valentine's bulletin board for you to do. All you need is bulletin board paper, a boarder, construction paper and some envelopes.

Use black construction paper to cut out the shape of a mailbox facing sideways with the door open. Then use brown construction paper to make the post. From that, have as many small invitation envelopes as you have students. Place them on the board with the envelopes open and different colored hearts for each student floating out. You can put their names on them, or you can have them write their names.

Add touches such as little hearts for the boarder and even butterflies to float among the envelopes. You can make and decorate the lettering for "Love is in the Air," or you can buy the pre-cut kind. Your students will love finding their names and you'll love how easy this Valentine's bulletin board is. You can be as creative as you like, too, which makes it fun.

"Healthy Hearts"

This Valentine's bulletin board is a great way to help kids learn how important it is to stay healthy and have healthy activities. Cover your bulletin board in pink, red or white paper and make a large oval track around it. Have each of your students paint a foam heart and attach it to a stick with their name on it. Make hurdles to go around the track with numbers on it or a healthy activity.

As your students complete the healthy activity, they can move around the track. This is a great way to help your students get on the healthy track for life and you can even sneak in some great healthy heart tips along the way.

These ideas for Valentine's bulletin boards should help to get you started and inspired so that you can make your own fun bulletin boards with a Valentine's Day twist to them.

Have lots of fun!
