Wedding Reception Centerpiece Ideas - Add Beauty to Your Tables

Do you need inspiration for wedding reception centerpiece ideas?

A lot of work goes into decorating the area that you have your wedding reception in. From the dance floor to the food table, you will probably find yourself awash in flower choices, color combinations, and fabrics.

However, few things get as much notice as the centerpieces that can be found on the individual tables.

Wedding reception centerpieces can help set the tone for the reception and really tie the look of your decor together. The good news is that there are a variety of centerpieces available, whether your budget is small or high.

So what are some great wedding reception centerpiece ideas?

Floral arrangements are undoubtedly the most popular types of centerpieces. Although large arrangements are beautiful, they are pricey and not always practical. After all, a large centerpiece will make it difficult for guests to see each other from across the table.

Instead of spending a lot of money on large arrangements, consider using single flowers or smaller vases. Small vases that have flowers that are no larger than 3 or 4 inches in height can be very beautiful.

For wedding reception centerpiece ideas which are more modern looking, potted flowers, such as African violets, or even bamboo arrangements, can give your table an interesting look. Some people have even started using small bonsai trees as their centerpieces, although this can also get expensive if you need a lot of them.

Candles are also popular centerpieces. Large altar candles can look lovely when they are placed on mirrors. Consider sprinkling pretty stones on the mirror as well so that the flame reflects off of the glass and the surface of the rocks.

If you don't want to use one large candle, then several smaller candles of various heights can also look very pretty. You might want to include flower petals in the centerpiece, as well as ribbons in order to give it more texture.

If you are having a Christmas wedding, then you will find that you have a wide variety of choices when it comes to your wedding reception centerpiece ideas. Consider small Christmas trees, beautiful glass bowls filled with colorful balls and lights, or small Christmas wreathes with candles positioned in the center of them.

Likewise, if you are having a fall wedding, then your centerpieces can definitely match the spirit of the season. A cornucopia filled with fruit, a basket of leaves, or a pumpkin are all wedding reception centerpiece ideas that can add interesting touches to your table.

Themed weddings can be a lot of fun as well. If you are having a tropical themed wedding, for example, then you might want to consider a centerpiece that consists of a small fishbowl, brightly colored stones, and perhaps some aquarium accessories. You may or may not want to include actual fish. You can also sprinkle seashells around the tables to create an attractive look.

Just remember that you don't have to be tied to the traditional flower arrangements when it comes to your centerpieces. Although flowers are beautiful, they aren't the only attractive features that can make a table stand out. With a little creativity and ingenuity, you can find a variety of gorgeous elements to make your table beautiful.
